My father had an Aston Martin with the registration number OUK 929, but all I have of it is the license disk from Aug 1968 and would love to find out what model the cars was. Any help?! |

Hello are you sure that the registration was OUK929 as this number is not listed in the Aston Martin Owners Club register? But there once was a registration number OUE929 that might look quite the same if written in script. If the registration number really was OUE929 than it is an Aston Martin DB2/4 saloon build in 1954. Its chassis number is LML/688 and it was registered in the Netherlands a few years ago. Otherwise I could not help any further. Regards Peter |

Hello I own the aston martin with registration number OUE 929 and chassis number LML 688. I own this car since 1989. The first owner was Jack Emmott of lockheed automotive parts. Maybe it is the same car we are talking about. I hope to hear from you if that is so. With kind regards Gerard Brands. |

Hello Liz Do you now if your father sold the aston to the USA? The aston was sold new in england and probely exported somewere late 1968 or beginning 1969. The licence of the car in the USA was first registerd on 28 august 1969 with the plate number: RGR510 in New Jersey. Wen the first owner on paper in the USA bought the aston there was a chevrolet engine in it. Hope to hear from you. With kind regards Gerard Brands. |

Hi Liz I've just purchased OUK 929. The car had been tucked away in garage for 20 odd years, trying now to find history on the car. When did you father own it? Regards. Darren |

Excellent to find the car, My Father loved the car and I have some knowledge of it but limited, sadly he has now died, my mum is alive and I will ask her for more info re timings etc . I have a tax disc from 1968 ( 4 months cost £9.30!) He swopped it for a bristol car with a relative, Tony Baker, who lived Warrington area. We also at that time lived in and arround Northwich and Appleton (Warrington). My Father David LUNT was was very good friends with Keneth Neve who had about 8 vintage cars and it may have been from here that Dad got the car. The 2 of them used to attend many meetings ( Oulton Park, Shelsley hill climb etc ) with Mr Neve's 1914 TT humber, which was towed to the race tracks by a fab Rolls Royce! They also re did the Edinburgh to London race, in a different Rolls. Would it be possible for a photo of the car now? And would look forward to hearing more about it. Many thanks Liz |

Hi Liz Thank you for the info sounds like your dad had a great time with the car. Unfortunately as you will see from the photo there is a lot of restoration work required but she is not in bad shape considering.... The car did have a tow bar fitted at some point so may have towed the odd car to a circuit or two. I'll have a look in Log Book tomorrow as have seen your fathers name in there but can't remember the date. If you let me have an email address I'll pop a few photo's across. Regards. DT |
