To our colleagues in Europe and Japan, I was just contacted by someone in Belgium today with regard to Fred Ballot (a.k.a. Christian Harmant):
Hello,
I met an individual that raised suspicion at a local Cars and Coffee meeting in Belgium today.
He wanted to try and sell me an E-type, and a friend of mine a DB5.

He called himself Christian Harmant, but my friend knew his real name as Frederic Ballot.

I then stumbled on your posts regarding him, and thought you might want to know of his current whereabouts.
He's currently in Belgium, but says he's going to Japan soon to find cars, and offered to find a DB5 for my friend over there.
The phone number he gave me is 0032 496 16 95 99.

MaseratiOlli never met Frederic Ballot claimed to have information about him. What is a lie. MaseratiOlli just tried recently to scam him by stating he had a customer for a very special car even claimed he flew to Tokyo and has been detained by the immigration at the airport because of the validity of his passport. Of course after calling the immigration. It was found later on he never had his name in the list of detained people. Once somebody asked him to prove that, his answer was I don't have to prove anything. Be aware about those guys who has nothing better do than trashing people on the net.

What is really amazing is how some people (and I'm doing them a favor by calling them "people")
seem to have nothing better to do than defend themselves all over the Internet, trying go to protect
their con artist businesses.

How about it Fred (uhm, ur, Christian), how is your boy Toshi doing these days after being arrested
in Tampa for fraud, huh?

Sort of sucks when your accomplice is locked up for a few days doesn't it? Then, he gets bitch
slapped by attorneys again and again, last time by the legal department for Ferrari Chat.

How about it Christian? Got that new spread in Japan with a view of Mt. Fuji on one side and the
ocean on the other while your ex-wife sits destitute in Arizona with your dog and your car books?

You pitiful excuse for a human being.

Here is an article and video report on Fred Ballot (AKA: Christian Harmand) from an Arizona television station.

Are we to suppose that all these people making complaints about this fraudulent business are all out to do nothing but
trash you and Toshi all over the Internet (and now TV and newspapers)? You poor boys, so prosecuted, hunted like
animals, no where to go, no where to turn.

It seems the M.O. is always the same, get people of some wealth to buy into a particular car, demand that a down payment
(or in some cases full payment) is sent to them directly (instead of the actual owner of the car) and deliver literally nothing while the deposits go into the bank accounts of Ballot (Harmand) or Toshi Ueno to be used for golf outings, extravagant travels gifts for their wives (or ex-wives now), families, etc. and whatever else goes up their noses.

Scam artists like Ballot (Harmant) and his partner, the convict, Toshi Ueno are little more than a blight on the collectible motoring community.

return to bad moments of my life... I'm one the 5 victims I know in France (how many I don't know ?)
I bought him a 1966 Jaguar XKE OTS in 2010. After 3 years of promesses (I must confess he 's an artist for telling lies and making you hope of a good ending). The Arizona court recorded a "settlement agreement and release" saying he should send me a 1972 Pantera he was supposed to own and 27 000$ in cash. Never received anything... but a battle is never completely lost Ballot/Harmant...

The latest updated noted about Fred Ballot is that he was arrested in July of 2019 in Maricopa County, Arizona (where he was based when I had the unfortunate circumstance of meeting him) as pointed out
by a Belgian colleague.

So, it may be suggested to contact the Maricopa County, Arizona sheriff's office as they are the arresting
agency of record. We also know that Ballot is on the FBI and Interpol's radar, since I personally turned
over information to both agencies when they were on his trail.
