The 2010 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed was another phenomenal gathering of motorsport greats, both in terms of the machinery and the star studded cast of riders and drivers. More than 80 riders and drivers taking part over the weekend, including no less than 20 World Champions in different spheres of motorsport, who collectively have held, or hold, more than 70 world championship titles between them, a truly impressive figure. Equally impressive  the broad pallet of motorsport genres featured, from F1, sports racing cars, rally cars, touring cars, super cars, motorcycles (both on and off road), through to the always popular “Wacky Racers”.

Current Formula 1 stars the McLaren pairing of current World Champion, Jenson Button, and 2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, together with Mark Webber in a Red Bull-Renault, whilst team principal Christian Horner also attended. Other F1 stars Nico Rosberg drove a Mercedes, Nico Hulkenberg drove a Williams, and Ferrari test driver, Marc Gené was seen in a Ferrari. Current HRT-Cosworth F1 driver, Bruno Senna, drove a McLaren MP4/8 once driven by his uncle, Ayrton Senna. 

F1 stars from the past include Emerson Fittipaldi, Mika Hakkinen, Jochen Mass, Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart, John Surtees, Emanuele Pirro and Patrick Tambay. From the world of rallying, Festival first timer and 1988 and 1989 World Rally Champion, Miki Biasion, was reunited with his championship winning Lancia Delta, whilst 15 times World Motorcycle Champion, in the 350cc and 500cc classes, Giacomo Agostini rode a MV Agusta.
