The Tulpenrallye is not a rally but an experience !

The 57th International Historic Tulpenrallye will be held between 2 and 8 May 2010. The “Tulip” will again be a challenging and sportive rally for the participating crews and their vehicles, which will provide the competitors in addition with a unique atmosphere and entertainment based on unique lunch locations and great finish venues. Adrie Brugmans and Jaap Daamen will again be responsible for the route management.

The rally will have 3 classes: Touring, Sporting and Expert. The Touring class is open for competitors with little or no experience, the Sporting class is targeting experienced rally crews, while the most experienced navigators will compete against each other in the Expert class. Registration in the Expert class is compulsory for those navigators that finished in the top-5 in the Expert class between 2007 and 2009 or in the top-10 of the Sporting class in 2007 up to 2009.The Sporting class is compulsory for navigators that finished in the top-5 in the Touring class from 2007 up to 2009. Other crews that want to join the competition in this class are free to register for this class as well. The three classes will be completely separated from each other and all have a separate classification. The route for the Expert class will be largely similar to the route of the Sporting class. The winning crew in the Expert class is also the overall winner of the 57th Tulpenrallye.

The starting order between the three classes will change on a daily basis. Expert and Sporting class competitors will have a regularity stage every day and all classes will every day drive a special test in a closed area. The total length of the rally for the Expert class is appr. 2400 km., for the Sporting class appr. 2300 km. and for the Touring class appr. 2200 km., divided over legs that have been subdivided into multiple stages. There is an evening leg on Monday for competitors in the Expert class only.

Prizes can be won in the 3 classes as well as in the day-classifications in each of the classes. Additional competitions are being held for various team prizes as well as between crews representing individual countries in the Nations Cup.

The entry fee is 1.900 Euro, which includes: 6 dinners (including the prize-giving and jubilee party on Saturday 8 May), 6 lunches for both members of the crew and all required competition materials.
