Classic Endurance Racing - Nürburgring (D)
The Eifel (with an only F) is a region as much appreciated by the motor racing enthusiasts as the Eiffel tower is by the tourists from all around the world. Since its launch in 1927, the most famous 22-km "Nordschleife" remains the longest track in the world. However, the 4.5-km modern adjacent track –built for the F1 races has taken over in 1984. Thus the historic and modern competitions are now competed on a track which is considered, probably justly, as less dangerous.

An air of nostalgia for the drivers of Classic Endurance Racing, who will remember when the track record of 6 min 11s was set by Stefan Bellof in a Porsche 963, in the final 1000km race competed on the Grand/Original Circuit.
