Visiting:-

Rugy, Nr Metz.

Ottrott le Haut.

Plombiers les Bains.

Sunday 14th June

The adventure begins at La Bergerie, Rugy, and after Signing On in the afternoon crews will be able to enjoy the cuisine of an excellent kitchen with an inspired chef and a glass or two of wine at the very social Welcome Pre Rally Dinner before the competition starts tomorrow morning.

Monday 15th June

The clocks start ticking as the rally heads southeast to arrive mid afternoon at Ottrott le Haut. The first section will travel through the Lorraineís rolling farmland to rest awhile for a well-earned coffee. Now that crews have woken up their rally skills, a couple of exciting regularity sections through Foret Domaniale de St Quirin will challenge as the route starts to climb, and for those who have not enjoyed the views from the Col du Donon, expect a grand vista. Arriving at the fabulous Hostellerie des Chateaux, were we rest for two nights, a warm welcome awaits everyone. Dinner tonight will be a casual affair with the chance to enjoy some excellent French cooking.

Tuesday 16th June

Today will see the rally explore the Haut Rhin "up close" as cars weave around the mountain passes from control to control, but crews will have to be on their toes to avoid wrong slotting as they visit many of the delightful floral villages that are so characteristic of this area. Having left the hotel in sunshine and glimpsed at snow covered peaks during a challenging morning of exciting rallying, the afternoon will be free to perhaps visit Molsheim, home of the Bugatti, or enjoy a glass of the locally brewed Kronenbourg (probably better than Carlsberg!)

Wednesday 17th June

The final move to Plombiers les Bains gives route designer, John Walsh, the chance to test navigators and drivers alike with changes of speed and controls coming thick and fast as the cars travel along the prestigious Route du Vin. The rally route twists and turns through majestic the spruce forests of the Vosges, to then run past mountain lakes and waterfalls, but even calm waters can hold a surprise or two! The afternoon leg will give crews a chance to get their timing "Spot On" before arriving at the imposing Le Prestige Imperial for dinner and to stay for three nights.

Thursday 18th June

The seconds will tick by as crews discover the Haute Saune and it's Mille …tangs (Thousand Lakes). The countryside may be undulating with tranquil villages, but it will be 'all action' for navigators as a couple tricky regularity sections could turn the leader board on its head. The route for today may not be long, but it will be testing and perhaps a bit of luck will be needed!

Friday 19th June

A web of lanes will now challenge for the final day's rallying returns to the Vosges. As the pressure increases, will the leaders hold on to their advantage as the final regularity sections test everyone? After 5 days of exhilarating driving, countless junctions navigated and numerous panoramic vistas, the highlight of this unique event will be the Prize Giving Celebration and Gala Dinner.
