Last year’s sale entered the history books when the world’s oldest running motor car realized an impressive $4.62 million to set a new world record for an early motor car sold at auction. This year’s sale presents another magnificent roster of important and historic automobiles with no less than 100 motorcars spanning the gamut of automotive production with a strong emphasis on Brass Era models. A featured attraction of the sale are ten motorcars from the distinguished Bowersox Collection including, a rare 1931 Duesenberg J Dual Windshield ‘Barrelside’ Phaeton by LeBaron and a one-of-two 1929 Duesenberg J Sport Sedan by Murphy. Also joining the offering are a number of Brass Era motor cars from the George Grew collection lead by a 1909 Pierce-Arrow 36 hp Three-Passenger Runabout. Additional highlights include a 1903 Ford Model A Rear Entry Tonneau that is the oldest surviving Ford sold by the Ford Motor Company, an award winning 1914 Packard 1-38 Runabout and a delightful 1894 Silsby Fourth Style Horse-Drawn Steam Pumper.
