The Tour Auto Optic 2000 will take place from 29th April to 4th May 2019. It will start from the Grand Palais (Paris) to finish in Deauville via five legs.

In keeping with tradition, the 2019 Tour Auto Optic 2000 will begin on Monday 29th April with a not-to-be missed day when the cars taking part will be on display in the Grand Palais (Paris). The next day, the 240 competitors (competition and regularity) will leave the capital for five days of competition on 4 circuits (Dijon-Prenois, Magny-Cours, Charade, Le Mans) and 10 special stages. Every year the route of the Tour Auto Optic 2000 is changed, and in 2019 it will include Dijon, Lyon, Vichy and Tours. The chequered flag will be waved on Saturday 4th May on the evening of the last leg in Deauville. The detailed route will be revealed on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Eligible models are those entered for the race between 1951 and 1973 (a few exceptions are allowed). The 28th Tour Auto Optic 2000 will honour vanished English makes and already on the list is a 1949 Healey Silverstone entered by a Japanese crew, a 1954 Frazer Nash Le Mans Coupé, as well as a 1953 Sunbeam Alpine Roadster and several Triumph TR2s and TR3s.
