435bhp, 427 cu. in. V8 engine, four-speed, M-21 close-ratio transmission, 4.11 Positraction rear differential, four-wheel independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 98"

Introduced in 1968, the third generation Corvette was heavily inspired by the Mako Shark. Although significantly changed style wise from the previous generation, it offered customers the same optional engine choices. One of the most powerful options was the L-71 V8, which included triple carburetors and a 427 cubic inch block with a bore and stroke of 4.251 x 3.76 inches with a compression ratio of 11.0:1 rated at 435bhp at 5800rpm with 460- ft/lbs of torque at 4000 rpm.

The 1969 Chevrolet Corvette offered here is a fully documented and authenticated 38,000 mile Roadster with the legendary L-71 engine option. It has undergone a complete frame-off professional restoration and has also been verified in writing by Al Grenning that it is a full matching numbers example.

The body was totally stripped and resprayed in a glittering, flawless silver paint. All the panels were carefully fitted and there is no evidence of warping or the all-too-common starring and hairline cracks.

The black interior is all new, the bucket seats were completely rebuilt and recovered to factory specifications, as was the rest of the interior. In addition to the fresh carpeting throughout, there are new black embossed floor mats. The dash, steering wheel and column are factory fresh and the original AM/FM radio remains. All chrome and plastic hardware appear new. An unmarked black vinyl soft top was professionally installed, fits like a glove and is wrinkle-free.

The 427 cubic inch V8 engine is fully painted and detailed to the highest of show standards including all the appropriate stickers, hoses, belts and wires. The only deviation from original is the maintenance-free transistorized ignition that ensures maximum performance at all times. The special, high performance all- synchromesh four-speed, M-21 close-ratio transmission with floor mounted gearshift is a very desirable option, as is the 4.11 Positraction rear differential to handle all that raw horsepower. Transmitting that power to the pavement is a set of factory 15 by eight-inch slotted steel disc Corvette wheels that look like they were just fitted and redline tires only recently mounted. With all those performance features, an optional F41 suspension helps keep this hot Corvette glued to the road when powering through the corners.

This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L-71 Roadster is no stranger to awards and accolades. The trophy case includes three NCRS Top Flight awards including a National event, a NCRS performance verification, two first in class wins from its showings at the Portland Roadster Show and a first place from the Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance. In addition, this prized 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L-71 Roadster captured a Duntov Mark of Excellence Award, which is only presented to the best of the best.

In addition to all its other highly desirable attributes, this powerful and pristine 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L-71 Roadster comes complete with its original window sticker, tank sticker, owner ĺ s folio, owner ĺ s manual, owner history and all the other documentation you would expect with a Top Flight car. There are many 427 Corvettes in garages and on the market, but very few can compare to this stunning example with its L-71 option.
