Unique to the GT are a new final drive ratio of 4.09 for quicker acceleration, active sports exhaust system, a revised quick-shift gear lever and twin-plate racing clutch. The cosmetic changes are subtle with a reduction in high-speed lift of almost 50%. This is achieved by additional upsweeps on the undertray, wheel arch liner extensions and a revised bootlid spoiler emphasizing the sportier new look. The most obvious visual difference to identify the car as a DB7 GT is the anodised wire mesh radiator grille, the addition of two distinctive bonnet vents, new 5-spoke 18” alloy wheels, equipped with low profile Bridgestone tires and Brembo racing-style colored brake calipers with grooved Brembo discs.
