1925 RENAULT MODEL 45 KELLNER PHAETON ID# 115834 This extravagant Renault was bodied by the Parisian coach building firm of Kellner who were well known for their elegant and well made open drive Broughams. With its enormous 600 cubic inch engine this elegant car was capable of reaching speeds of 85 miles and hour. Chassis 115834 was originally owner by General Ferdinand Foch the great French military mind who help end the First World War. He was promoted to Marshal of France and also received the title of British Field Marshal and the Marshal of Poland for his major contribution to the Treaty of Versailles. After the war very little is known about the car, until it ended up in southern California in the 1960's. It was part of the famous Art Astor collection. In 1977 Jimmy Brucker, a well known collector and authority, purchased the car and added it to his well known Movie World Collection that the Brucker brothers had built. Brucker sold the car in 1984 to well respected hotel maverick Ralph Engelstad, of the Imperial Palace Auto Collection, Las Vegas, NV.
