Known History

1973 Porsche 911S Coupe

Chassis no. 9113300977

Description courtesy of Bonhams Auctions

This 911S is totally refurbished to immaculate but street usable 'concours' condition and in our opinion has the potential to win trophies at all levels, be they club or local concours. It remains an all matching numbers car and has its correct original interior, trim, wheels, and all engine accessories as well as a period correct 1973 Carrera RS plastic gas tank.

The body has been completely restored and is reported to have excellent panel fit and gaps, the body panels are noted to Bonhams as 'dead straight'. The 911S has the correct steel (not fiberglass) front splitter, all the windows are all original correct Sekurit glass; while the windshield is new.

During its restoration a change to the period correct livery of Blood Orange paint from the original sepia brown was made, a move which has been a great success as evidenced by its presentation. At the same time, the interior was fully restored, seats, dash pad, dash fascia, headliner, carpets, door panels, and rear squab seats using materials supplied by Autos International and then carefully applied to ensure excellent fit and finish. North Hollywood rebuilt all the gauges. When new, the car was an original radio-delete car so this is not present, but these are attainable and could be added. Completing its overall look are restored and period correct Fuchs wheels.

Technically, the suspension is correct, and has been restored with proper Bilstein struts. Beneath the car, the shell has been freshly undercoated. Mechanically, the car's engine has been totally refurbished and fitted with Carrera tensioners and a Gus Pfister (Pacific Fuel Injection) recalibrated fuel injection pump and matched injectors, the work having been carried out by Dawes Motor Sports of Stroudsberg, PA. It is expertly sealed with no oil leaks and is reported to have received a clean bill of health with an excellent leak down report. The car has new correct heat exchangers and exhaust.

An icon of the 20th Century, presented in iconic livery and freshly prepared to provide maximum enjoyment of the 911 legend.
