To be OFFERED AT AUCTION at Auctions Americas Spring Carlisle Auction event, April 28-30, 2011

This is a rare opportunity to own one of the best 1960 MGAs in the country. It has been under the same ownership for the past 35 years and it has been painstakingly maintained in pristine condition. There have been no accidents during the past 35 years and it has only accumulated 22,000 miles since 1978. In fact, the total mileage Is not more than 80,000 since new. This car received a body-off restoration in 1977-1978. Photographs and other collected paperwork are included with the car. This MGA is a multiple award winner and exemplifies the car that Road & Track chose as its editors ''...would like to drive home the most'' at the Lime Rock Fall Festival in 2008, out of 400 cars. The 1,600 cc engine was bored 0.060 over and fitted with a 3/4 cam. This gives the car about 92 hp and a lovely idle. The engine has been completely detailed (out of the car during restoration) and stands out with all period correct components plus a ribbed aluminum valve cover. The 4-speed is a non-synchromesh 1st gear unit, the car has no radio, and is equipped with front disc/rear drum brakes. The top and side curtains are in very good condition, as is the windscreen and rear window. .
