Very clean and straight. Totally rust free with original cosmoline on the underside of floor pans. Automatic. Hard and soft tops and air conditioning. Has the heated rear window switch & hard top window that is unique to 71's of which only 864 were built. Excellent body and paint. No rust anywhere - ever. Soft top has a couple of nicks at the bottom where it was closed in the storage area. Excellent engine bay. Original front fenders and hood stamp etc. The only deviations from original are: 1) body side mouldings (a pity but quite common in the 70's). 2) heater control wheels have been changed for aluminum ones (the plastic ones always break). 3) tilt steering column (done when new - very professionally - looks factory). This is in the top 5% condition wise of remaining 280SL and maybe in the top 2%. A real find for a serious enthusiast. Inspections encouraged. All sales AS-IS.
