A one owner, low mileage mint example of an ultra-rare U.S. delivery 1967 Toyota 2000GT 2 Door Coupe.

Of the 351 cars made, only 84 were left hand drive, of which only 62 came into the USA between 1967-70. Today less than 40 of those are known to still exist, making this one of the rarest collector vehicles in the world.
All 2000GT's were handbuilt by Yamaha, and today are universally regarded as being the first Japanese 'Supercar'.
Fitted with a 2 liter twin-cam six cylinder engine with 3 twin-choke carburetors and a 5-speed gearbox the GT 'redlines' at 7000 RPM, producing speeds of 70mph in 2nd, 100 in 3rd, and just below 140mph in top end.
Toyota proved their prowess in the Grand Touring class by including features such as: 4-wheel independent suspension with Dunlop power assisted disc brakes on all four wheels, rack & pinion steering, lightweight magnesium-alloy styled wheels with genuine knock-offs, aerodynamic all-steel "numbered" bodies mounted on a "Y-type" spine frame, remote engine oil cooler, full cockpit instrumentation including amp-water temp-oil temp-oil pressure-fuel gauge along with speedometer and tachometer, a clock and rally clock unit, a signal-seeking AM radio with tone and distant/local tuning switch, reclining bucket seats with 3-point lap/shoulder belts, electric power operated antenna, power operated concealed headlights, fog-driving lights, electric rear window defroster, flow-thru ventilation system, telescoping mahogany wood steering wheel, rosewood dash and center console and rear glovebox (picture Yamaha's violin and piano craftsmanship!), full-size spare tire and wheel, complete factory tool roll with 12 volt trouble light along with luggage space for a hard suitcase and two soft bags and a garment bag!
This particular 2000GT was sold new by the Toyota dealer in St. Louis, MO to its only registered owner who took exceptional care of the car. After many years of storage it was recently treated to a meticulous detailing and freshening back to its original showroom condition by world-reknowned marque specialists Maine Line Exotics that included engine rebuild, new stainless steel mufflers, recovering of the seats in the original-style pattern and material, and refinishing of the center conslole & glove box wood. The car is as delivered with its original matching-numbers engine and is in pristine condition for either display or grand touring.
Offered with its original books, manuals, tools, and documentation. The rarest of the rare, a one-owner completely correct and ready to enjoy example, car #88 is the finest example 2000GT to be offered in the marketplace for years, the likes of which will probably never be offered for sale again. A true "don't miss opportunity" to have the "best of the best" for your significant sports car collection.
