1. OWNERSHIP

U.S. Army captain bought the car in Germany and brought it to Philadelphia in the late 50’s. The car was then sold to Abel who later traded it in 1966 to R & S Imports, a Mercedes dealer. Having purchased the car from the dealer, the current owner (F. Onarato) has had the car for the past 40 years. A prolonged 20-year restoration was undertaken from 1967 – 1987. The color is DB516 middle red, 1068 tan leather, and tan convertible top.
