Dodge's popular reincarnation of the street-savvy Dart, the Dodge Demon fastback, was in its second year of production in 1972. A must-have car for serious drag racers, these cars were feared for their light weight and serious horsepower-producing muscle. Monsters off the line, and equally quick down the full length of any straight, the Dodge Demon was the nemesis of any Ford or GM enthusiast during its heyday. Looking at this beautiful, fully restored Dodge Demon recreation, it's clear why Mopar fans have maintained a steadfast following of these cars for nearly 40 years. An aggressive stance is complimented by the aftermarket aluminum wheels and fresh high-performance radial tires. Painted in beautiful, show-quality Sublime Green, this is one paint job that's ready for display. The body of this Demon is laser straight, and the moldings, trim and chrome shine like new. The finish on this car is truly stellar, and free of any swirls, fish eyes or bubbles. As you may notice, this '72 has been fitted with some aftermarket upgrades originally found on the '71 model including the air-scoop hood, as well as the original factory decals from the '71 Demon, which included the small devil character holding the ominous pitchfork that helped build this car's notoriety. With this one-of-a-kind look for a '72, and sporting a body, paint and finish this beautiful and bright, you're sure to turn every head you see. As breathtaking as the paint on this car, the engine is also something to marvel at. A completely rebuilt, and fully chromed 340 Wedge just begs you to tear up the asphalt. To say this Demon runs like a scalded dog would be an understatement. The engine was bored .30 over, and mated to a rebuilt 727 automatic transmission that's sure to handle anything the roar of this engine can throw its way. Fitted with aluminum headers, intake, water pump, fan and housing, this is an engine meant to be admired. Along with the aluminum touches, the remainder of this engine bay is completely dressed in chrome, including the power steering, alternator, all pulleys, coil case, hoses, valve covers, air cleaner, clamps and fittings. As you can see in the pictures, the flawless green paint isn't just restricted to the exterior; this car also boasts a rich, deep shine throughout the entire engine compartment and firewall. Once you're inside this Demon, you'll really want to see what it can do. The original dash and gauges remain intact, but for added confidence the current owner has tastefully installed an aftermarket oil, water and battery cluster. The white bucket vinyl seats were recovered in the last few years and look great with the fully-functional center console. The door panels, dash and carpets are all in good condition. Although the exhaust note of the dual 3" stainless pipes are enough to bring a smile to anyone's face, in the event you're in the mood for some good driving tunes you'll be pleased with the aftermarket Jensen AM/FM cassette and matching Jensen 6X9's in the back. Additional driving pleasure is provided by power front disc brakes and power steering. So, if you're into Mopar, want a car that not only looks the part with beautiful paint, an amazingly straight body, is completely dressed to the 9's in aluminum and chrome, but is also built like a beast ready to tame anyone else on the road, this is the car for you.
