This 1989 Corvette is a show car in every sense of the word. Not only is it amazingly crafted and beautifully finished, but it extremely well preserved and detailed throughout. It's clear that since it was completed, the only thing this car has done is collect trophies. Of course, a $10,000 paint job will do that, and the custom interior, fully dressed engine bay, and mind-blowing stereo system are all part of the equation. The result is a car that simply couldn't be duplicated anywhere near the asking price. The paint is charcoal metallic pearl, laid down over original fiberglass panels that were sanded and sanded again until they were laser straight. That custom paint provides an ideal foundation for the Mike Lavallee-style flame job that whispers over the entire front end. The layering and textures of the flames are so realistic that you can almost feel the heat coming off the car, and parking it in the sunlight makes it look like they're actually moving. From any angle, the paint looks three-dimensional, and check out the detailing-it extends onto areas like the chin spoiler, the license plate frame, and even the side grilles behind the front wheels. Then it was all buried under several coats of clear for a seamless, deep shine that has won some pretty serious awards. The leather interior is every bit as stunning, with very few items remaining stock. The first thing you'll notice is the custom-upholstered seats, which now sport red, black, and gray patterns. Check out the workmanship-the pattern extends into the complex series of side bolsters, yet still duplicates the factory pattern. Even the door panels and armrest between the seats were given makeovers to match. Both the steering wheel and shifter boot were re-covered in red leather to bring the interior together. A red harness bar behind the seats features a chrome fire extinguisher. Custom Sunpro gauges in an A-pillar pod have been installed, keeping an eye on boost, oil pressure and temperature, and a massive tachometer is mounted atop the dash where it's easy to see. A positively astounding Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo system has been installed, with the head unit nicely integrated into the dash, and the amps and subwoofers installed in their own beautifully finished custom enclosure in the hatch area. If you're still not impressed by this car, take a peek under the clamshell hood, where the detailing has been taken to the next level. Tying into the exterior, the flames continue on things like the air cleaner and inner fenders, and parts of the engine have been painted to match. The famous L98 intake runners and plenum have been highlighted in red, along with a lot of smaller pieces that make the engine look highly detailed. Edelbrock cast aluminum valve covers dress up the formerly ordinary stock pieces. Everywhere you look there's something to see, from the red wire looms to the Corvette logo on the front crossmember. Underneath, you'll find a super-clean chassis that shows that this car has never seen inclement weather. A beautifully built Magnaflow stainless exhaust system is almost too pretty to hide under the car and it sounds positively amazing. Painted brake calipers really stand out behind the chrome ZR-1 style wheels, which wear BFGoodrich G-Force T/A radials. This car also comes with a stack of receipts for much of the work. The amount of work that has gone into this '89 Corvette is positively mind-boggling. The result of many years of polishing, painting, and detailing, not to mention tens of thousands of dollars, it has already won more awards than we can count. And it remains 100% drivable and usable, because, after all, it's still a Corvette. With a potent L98 and a 6-speed manual, it's a lot of fun to drive, and nothing-NOTHING-gets attention like the flame job on the nose. Stunning to look at and thrilling to drive, this 1989 Corvette is a show-stopper like you've never seen before. Call today!
