In the 1960's Jaguar set the pace in sporting saloon cars with the MK2. Raced by great drivers like Graham Hill and Jack Sears. So potent were these cars that no serious bank robber planed a job without having one waiting as the getaway car.

You could order a MRK2 from Guildford Jaguar dealer John Coomb's with many performance and luxury extras. These special cars are very rare and highly prized today.

This car was rebuilt in 1999 by Geoff Widdicombe in the style of a John Coomb's car. The engine is a 4.2 litre and the performance this gives is very pleasing. Coupled to a later BW66 transmission with J gate selector. The steering is now power rack and pinion. The brakes and suspension have also been improved. Upholstered in cream Connolly leather and fitted with Series 3 XJ seats, for greater comfort and air-conditioning. Strikingly finished in Signal Red with chrome wire wheels.

This makes a very usable classic saloon car.
