Look around the marketplace and you'll undoubtedly see several other 1963 Chevy Impalas like this one. What you probably won't see, however, is any that are this nice for a price anywhere close to this one. With gorgeous, straight bodywork, a powerful 327 under the hood, and a semi-custom interior that fits the vintage bow-tie perfectly, this is an incredible cruiser at an equally incredible price. Originally code 922 Ember Red, the finish on the car today is probably closer to a Riverside Red, and it looks flat-out awesome. Panels are extremely straight, gaps are decent, and the finish on the paint probably has hours of wet sanding and buffing behind it. The '63 Impala hardtop is fast becoming an icon, with timeless good looks that are both sporty and elegant, and this car shows you why. All the cool SS upgrades have been incorporated into the build, including that engine-turned trim running along the sides and reproduction SS badges on the rear quarter panels. Most of the chrome is either decent original equipment or a nicely restored piece, and the bright work really makes the red bodywork pop. Out back, six taillights are an Impala trademark, and a correct silver tail panel is part of the deal. Imagine rolling up in this cruiser at the next show-n-shine-too cool! The interior is a cool take on the original, with black velour replacing the sticky original vinyl. The patterns are virtually identical, and things like the red piping and the bowtie emblems stitched into the seat backs give it a custom touch. This one also sports an original console with a shifter for the automatic transmission that does one heck of an imitation of a Hurst cue ball. More of that engine turned aluminum trim decorates the interior, adding to the SS illusion, and the gauges are all fully functional. For cruising comfort, A/C has been added, along with a powerful Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo system. In back, the trunk is nicely finished with matching black carpet and a full-sized spare tire. Power comes from a 327 cubic inch V8 that has been nicely dressed, but is clearly intended for road duty. The block is, of course, Chevy Orange, and it's hard to miss that chrome air cleaner with reproduction 327 Turbo Fire decals on top. For modern reliability, it sports an alternator in place of the original generator, and the A/C system uses R134a refrigerant, so recharges are easy and inexpensive. Underneath you'll find a 3-speed automatic transmission between the rails of a clean original X-frame. Further proof that this is a clean, dry car are the original floors still covered in vintage undercoating. The dual exhaust system was installed several years ago when the car was built, and still sounds great, with a mellow tone that doesn't get obnoxious on the highway. Wheels are the ever-popular Chevrolet Rallys wearing 15-inch white letter radials. If you're looking for a very high quality driver to enjoy this summer, look no further. With great traditional looks, a rumbling V8 under the hood, and a bunch of comfort and convenience options, this one is a slam-dunk. Now look again at the price and understand that this is a heck of a lot of car for the money. Looks, performance, and luxury, just as it was in 1963. Call today!
