This vehicle will be offered for Auction on Friday, August 19th, at Russo and Steele's 11th Annual "Sports & Muscle at The Marriott" in Downtown Monterey, California. It will cross the block Friday evening at 8:30 PM.

The 1970 Plymouth Hemi ?Cuda is widely regarded as the greatest muscle car of all time. The all-new model, styled by John E. Herlitz, was built on a shorter, wider version of Chrysler's existing B platform, called the E-body. The E-body's engine bay was larger than that of the previous A-body, facilitating the release of Chrysler's 426 cu in (7.0 L) Hemi for the retail market.

The all new Barracuda included a variety of options including decal sets, hood modifications, and several unusual "high impact" colors such as "Vitamin C", "In-Violet", "Sassy Grass Green", "Moulin Rouge" and ?Rallye Red?.

This 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda has only 31,543 original miles.

Finished in Rallye Red with black interior, this fully documented Hemi ?Cuda is listed in the Chrysler Registry, and was personally inspected and documented by Galen Govier on September 2, 2005. The entire ownership history is known from new, and all five previous owners are documented.

Engine: 425 horsepower, 426 dual quad Hemi V8 with Shaker hood scoop. This particular hood scoop was painted Rallye Red at the factory; an option reserved ONLY for Hemi ?Cuda?s painted Rallye Red.
