1959 Abarth Allemano 750cc Cabriolet

This car looks stunning and would suit the fussiest buyer. It has had a total concourse restoration, including full mechanical, panel, paint and fully reupholstered including convertible top. At all times originality has been maintained.

Restoration of this car has been a huge job. The work carried out included remove all lights, bumpers, badges, windscreen assembly, engine and gearbox. Remove and dismantle of doors and dashboard, instrument, wiring and cable restoration. Remove all external and internal chrome and chrome parts then quality re-chroming and later refit, installing new rubbers, after panel and paint work was completed.

The body was taken back to bare metal and repaired where necessary, then flow coated and the car repainted in two pack paint. The underneath of the car has been totally cleaned down and repainted.

The engine and gearbox were removed, and semi dismantled to check over the work carried out by the previous owner. The engine compartment repainted and fully detailed, then all minor items, restored or renewed then refitted to the engine bay. New fuel hose, fuel filter and tappet cover gasket fitted and the engine & gearbox reassembled and reinstalled in the newly detailed engine compartment. The carburettor was completely dismantled and restored.

All new brake shoes, brake cylinders and brake hoses have been fitted.etc.
Radiator was removed, cleaned out, serviced and refitted to the car.
Petrol tank remove, cleaned out, treated, then painted and refitted to the car.
A complete new and original exhaust system has been fitted.
Convertible soft top frame was totally restored, then painted in correct beige to original specifications.
Doors were reassembled, refitting restored alloy step tread panels, and then doors refitted to the car,
along with installation of new bailey channels and rubbers.
All instruments were removed from the dashboard and overhauled. The dashboard was then repainted, reassembled, grab handle reupholstered, all as original. Then all fully functional instruments refitted to dash.
The windscreen assembly surround was re-chromed and has been fitted with a new glass windscreen.
With new screen rubber and all refitted to the car.
After re-chroming, all bumpers, and chrome strips were refitted to the car, with new rubbers.

The car has been fitted with all new badges, new headlights, tail lights and front parking lights and corresponding new rubbers to all fittings.

All 4 wheels were bead blasted and repainted & refitted with new tyres and new as original hub caps.

To finish off the soft top and total interior trim was reupholstered, with great regard to originality, using quality leather, German carpet and hood materials. The interior of the soft top fabric is beige to tone in with the hood bows.

This car is restored to perfection. - All renewed parts are to original specifications.

The car is tuned, road tested and ready for some fantastic touring.
