Known History

In January 1960, 5 months after the launch of the Mini, a Mini utility vehicle was produced in the form of a small estate car with metal or glazed rear panels. It was called the Mini Van and it came equipped with an 8.48 cm3 engine. It was a huge hit with dealers and artisans alike: 521,494 models were made and, as of 1967, a 998 cm3 engine was fitted. In September 1960, two new gentrified models appeared, taking the form of a glazed rear panel estate with wood inserts. These cars were imported into France under the name Baby 850 Countryman and Morris Mini Traveller and, prior to October 1969, 214,543 of them were produced.

The car for sale is one of the latest to be manufactured and it is fitted with a 998 cm3 engine. This charming small estate car has been fully restored at the workshops of SFR Automobiles in Paris. In 2009, the shell was stripped and repainted in its original colour, Almond Green. It has a pale grey, faux leather interior. According to the vendor, it has only 1,000 km on the clock. A general overhaul of the vehicle is to be completed by SFR Automobile prior to sale.
