Known History

The Mercedes-Benz 107 Series, which was launched in April 1971, introduced so many innovations on all points (style, chassis and engines) that it was able to survive until 1986 without any changes other than those required for adaptation to general economic conditions, oil crises, technological advances and environmental and safety standards, without abandoning its initial concept: luxury and performance. The SL Series, the generic name for its sports models, was created at that same time in the shape of the superb 350 SL with a 200 hp V8 engine, aimed mainly at the American market. A 4.5-litre engine was added to the range in 1971 and represents the flagship of the model range; with its high-torque engine, it is designed to cruise top-down whilst having a lot of power in reserve.

The vehicle that we are showing is black with a black interior. The hood has recently been changed and its hard top enables it to be used in the winter. This attractive cabriolet was used as a second car in California before being purchased by the present owner in 2009 through the UK specialist, "The SL Shop". The distinctive appearance of this car is simple and it represents a perfect compromise, allowing you to drive a classic car without having to worry about it.
