Known History

This vehicle is located in our San Carlos California Showroom (650) 326-1000.

This Arctic Silver, 2 Owner C4 cab comes to us just in time to start enjoying the convertible weather. The versatility and safety of the C4 speaks for itself and this is a car that you could enjoy all year long, especially with the included hard top.

The odometer reads just over 83,000 with last maintenance performed at appx. 79,000 miles. At that time, the transmission fluid, brakes, and lifters were all replaced.

At its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction. Most important among these is the water-cooled engine, replacing the previously air-cooled engines. More stringent noise regulations and higher customer expectations for both refinement and a higher performance 4 valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other changes include a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a re-designed interior.

In 2002, the standard models underwent minor re-styling, which included switching to the Turbo-style headlamps and to a new front fascia. These were sometimes known as the Mk2 generation of the 996, or the 996.2. In addition, engine capacity was also increased to 3.6 litres across the range, yielding gains of 20 horsepower (15 kW) for the non-Turbo models.

Overall the car is in excellent condition and runs strong, give us a call or e-mail to schedule a test drive or to get more information.
