We are pleased to offer 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2 2 s/n 13139. This USA Model 365 GT 2 2 is the 614th of 809 Queen Mothers made and has traveled only 26,575 miles since new. Delivered new in Amaranto (dark red) and still with excellent Amaranto paint over a very straight body with a black leather interior and red carpets. S/N 13139 comes with the original tool roll and most of the tools, the original jack kit, an original handbook, a warranty booklet from Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, CT, a later owner’s pouch and approximately 100 pages of long-term service records. This is easily one of the most original Queen Mothers in the US. Like all well-maintained Queen Mothers, it has an extremely strong engine and pulls like a freight train.

The 365 GT 2 2 was built for the sporting enthusiast that likes to travel in speed and comfort with friends or children. As the last of the curvaceous Pininfarina-bodied Ferrari grand tourers, and powered by the final iteration of the famed Colombo V-12 two-cam engine, the 365 GT 2 2 provides the quintessential 1960s vintage Ferrari experience. Lot 420A: Manufactured in December of 1969 and supplied new to the United States, this original, three-owner 365GT 2 2 has covered less than 27,000 miles since leaving Maranello. This very original car, finished in Rosso Rubino, has been exhibited at many concours including the San Mateo Concours, the Palo Alto Concours d′Elegance, the Concorso Italiano, the Silverado Concours and the Meadowbrook Hall Concours. Additionally, it took part in the 2006 Quail Rally.

 

 

There are several receipts on files incurred while the car was in private ownership in Pebble Beach that record some of the fastidious work that has been carried out on the car. These are available for inspection and will be sold with the car.

 

 

Two original toolkits, a handbook, the original guarantee from Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, CT, the original owner’s wallet and the title are available from the owner and are included in the sale. Also, please note, this Ferrari titled as a 1970, but sold as a 1969. Sold for $144,500 inclusive of Buyer’s Premium.
