Sharing many features with Ferraris enormously well regarded 330 GTC two-seat road car of the same era, the four-seat 330 GT is a practical exotic ideal for daily or weekend use on family outings. A very late production series II example, this attractive car was equipped with a five speed transmission, desirable hanging pedals, power windows, and power steering. It is a matching numbers car with outstanding body and chassis integrity, having remained a two owner car in Nevada, USA throughout its life. It has seen a high quality repaint, and was sold new in this attractive color combination of light metallic blue with tan interior.

Thought to have been sold new through Bill Harrah`s Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada, this example has seen just one ownership change in 1983 before being acquired by Fantasy Junction in 2007. During the more recent ownership period, the engine was rebuilt with Corello rods and new pistons. Currently the car shows 55,700 miles which is believed to be accurate.

Cosmetically, this is a very strong example with the possible exception of selected interior items. The body is wonderfully rust free, as is the chassis, having benefited from two long-term ownership period in the dry climate of the western United States. There is no known accident history, and the door, hood, and trunk gaps are very good. The chrome bumpers, headlights bezels, and window frames are all straight and in very good condition with light hazing and no pitting. The car sits on nice deep dish Borrani wire wheels with curved ear knock offs and older Michelin XWX tires.

The interior, much of which is probably original, presents some opportunity. The front seats, while having been redone at some point, are faded but still soft. The rear seats are probably original, and are hard with some cracking. While the interior is useable as-is, the car would benefit from reupholster work. The door panels and console are serviceable and presentable. The carpets are quite tired and should be replaced. The headliner is excellent and requires no work. Likewise, the dash cover is excellent. The wood veneer is unmarked, and all the factory original gauges remain. This car also carries its factory wood rimmed steering wheel which nicely completes the originality of the interior.

The engine bay is clean and tidy, although selected components have been updated. The original air clean housing has been replaced with more modern units; however most of the original unit comes with the car. More modern fuel lines have replaced factory lines. This car does however retain the often missing battery hold down.

The underside is somewhat detailed and very solid with no evidence in damage or The trunk is original and presentable.

This example drives well, but may require additional sorting. The clutch is comparatively light to operate, and the brakes are effective. Second gear syncro is good when warm. The engine has excellent compression between 170-190 lbs per sq./in. when recently tested by Ferrari expert Patrick Ottis, but does not run perfectly smoothly at all times, probably due to an imperfect adaptation of MSD ignition boxes. There is a very minor vibration at higher speeds, which may be symptom of the older tires or a driveline vibration. With the exception of the clock, all the gauges are operable. The newer radio does not work.

With this car comes an original tool roll with most tools jack and hammer, spare Borrani wire wheel with Michelin XWX tire, reprinted owners manual and spare parts book, and several boxes of extra equipment including the pistons which were removed when the motor was rebuilt, trim pieces, most of one gasket set, fuel lines, ignition parts, side marker lights, a clutch master cylinders, and the factory air cleaner housing less cover.

As a very late production 330 GT, this example has many of the desirable accessories fitted. A rust free, matching numbers car with a rebuilt engine, this example is deserving of the final sorting necessary to make it into a beautiful and extremely usable exotic 12 cylinder road car.
