The Alfa Romeo 156 (known internally as the type 932) was a compact executive car introduced by the Italian manufacturer at the 1997 Frankfurt Motor Show as the replacement for the 155. Cars were assembled at the Fiat Group factory in Pomigliano d'Arco, Italy and General Motor's facility in Rayong, Thailand (over a short period for Asian markets). From 1997 to 2005 some 680,000 examples of the 156 were produced, representing a huge success for the marque.

At the top end of the 156 range was a very special car, the 3.2 litre GTA Superproduzione with a formidable 280bhp. This is a genuine example, prepared and built by N-Technology of Turin. Described as being in perfect working order, the car would be a perfect machine for any number of hillclimbs or track days throughout Europe. It is also a very low mileage example which, as yet, has never been raced and is therefore still pure from that perspective - interestingly the vendor has confirmed that this Alfa Romeo has only been used in an official capacity to ferry VIPs during the Italian Grand Prix. With 280bhp and only 1,080kg, this powerful package is ready and waiting to GO!
