Alfa Romeo, Italy's oldest sporting marque, has been building cars since 1910. It produced some of the greatest machinery ever to be seen pre-war, such as the beautiful 1750 Zagato roadsters, the magnificent Monzas and the mighty P3 racing cars. With the advent of the 1950s Alfa Romeo was forced to rationalise its production in order to survive financially. Nonetheless the firm still maintained a strong sporting tendency, and a model was always available to satisfy the whims of Alfa's affluent young customers; such a car was the Giulia Spider.

Finished in red with black interior, this early Alfa Romeo Giulia Spyder has been comprehensively restored just a few years ago and dry stored since. The shell was taken back to bare metal and every component on the car was either replaced or renewed. Furthermore, a more powerful 1,750cc engine has been fitted instead of the original 1,600cc unit. A superlative example of one of these sought after motoring gems.
