VIN: 1S9SB18144S000042. The Saleen S7 was the first car to be completely developed digitally using tools such as Unigraphics and Rhinoceros 3D. The alloy–block engine was developed from a Ford 427cid engine casting and re–engineered to be eight inches (203.2 mm) shorter. The road–ready S7 weighs 2750 lb and has an effective weight more than double of this during high speeds due to downforce. The entire body is fabricated in aluminum–honeycomb reinforced carbon fiber. Thanks to the use of scoops, spoilers, and other aerodynamic features to create split–channel airflow throughout the car, at 160 miles per hour (257 km/h), the car creates its own weight in downforce and could theoretically be driven upside down
