Cushman began producing motor scooters in the mid-1930s and would supply the American military during the Second World War. Its most lasting contribution to the industry, however, was the Eagle, which resembled a full- grown motorcycle and was lauded for its remarkable fuel economy and easy of operation.

The Eagle offered here would be well suited as a driver or an easier restoration project. The quality of its dark green paint is respectable, although it suffers from numerous chips and scratches. The effects of ageing are also readily apparent on the engine and chrome components, some of which show signs of surface oxidation. The white vinyl seat, however, is generally free of major flaws and is complemented by a matching jump seat. As all Eagles, this scooter features an automatic clutch and, as a result, is particularly enjoyable for enthusiasts and commuters of all ages, regardless of skill level or prior experience.
