Offering exceptional craftsmanship and rarity, this beautiful Eldorado Brougham is an impressive example of Cadillac's renowned prestigious design. According to records from the Brougham Owner's Association, body no. 614 was originally finished in Copenhagen Blue with an interior upholstered in medium Blue Bayou cloth and medium blue leather panel trim, a livery that the car continues to wear today. Slated for export, this Cadillac was likely dispatched to Canada where, by the mid-1970s, it came into the care of Glen Hughes of Toronto, Ontario.

Upon its return to the US in the early 2000s, experienced Brougham collector Joe Rubert of Memphis, Tennessee, acquired this rare and dignified Eldorado and promptly set out to conduct a substantial restoration. In addition to restoring the paint to an as-new finish, Mr. Rubert conducted some sympathetic mechanical work that included replacing the often troublesome air suspension with a coil spring configuration that provided a more reliable ride.

Acquired by the next owner in June 2009, this delightful Cadillac has since received some additional mechanical attention, including a rebuild of the carburetors and fuel pump in December 2010.

This beautiful Eldorado Brougham is one of only 304 examples produced in 1958, and one of only 704 total examples of the unique suicide-door pillarless-hardtop body built by Fleetwood over the course of the model's two-year production run. It features a distinctive brushed stainless-steel roof, quad headlights and dual exhausts that stem from bumper ports. This Eldorado came standard- equipped with power steering, power brakes, air-conditioning, an Autronic-Eye headlight dimmer, power windows, a signal-seeking radio and a six-way power front seat.

The Brougham's elegant design is wonderfully represented by the meticulous preparation of this example, which is highlighted by a fresh interior and a properly painted and detailed engine compartment. Exceedingly rare and beautifully presented, this eye-catching Eldorado Brougham is a highly desirable example of Cadillac's legendary post-war prestige car and would complement any collection of American automobiles.
