We are pleased to offer 1980 Ferrari 512 BB s/n 32545. This carbureted 512 BB is well documented from new and is Euro-spec as Enzo intended. None of the usual ugly Federalized bumpers, side markers, power killing catalysts or smog equipment. Finished in truly superb Rossa Corsa paint to a much higher-than-new standard, with the traditional black “Boxer bottom”. Has a nice original Tobacco leather interior with black insert stripes and an “as-new” dash without the shrinkage so common on most Boxers. Has the attractive and desirable 9″ rear Boxer wheels with as-new Michelin XWX tires. 512 BB s/n 32545 is in Canada with Canadian Duty and registration paid or can be imported back into the US with no EPA, no DOT and only 2.5% import duty.

This unusually nice carbureted 512 BB has had only three owners from new. Sold new through Ron Tonkin Ferrari to Roy Leventhag, Snow Valley, Idaho. Then to Les Groberman, West Vancouver, Canada and then through Mike Sheehan’s Ferraris-online.com to the current owner in Vancouver, Canada. This pampered Boxer has always been extremely well maintained and detailed. It features a highly detailed and better-than-new engine compartment. It will be delivered fully serviced with a fresh cam-belt service, although it runs extremely well and needs nothing. Complete with all tools and their briefcase, the owner’s manual with the warranty card, the Pioneer radio handbook, the parts book, Dealer’s list booklet, factory carrying pouch and the correct thin spare. Also has the original plug-in trouble light in its plastic pouch. Has the original and hard-to-find three-piece exhaust system and Pioneer radio with cassette player. Only 16,196 total kilometers (10,042 miles) from new.

The carbureted Boxers are much faster than the injected Boxers and with only 929 carbureted BBs built, the carbureted Boxers have always been more desirable. This car is exceptionally nice, needs absolutely no excuses made and will not disappoint. We welcome a detailed pre-purchase inspection. Considerably faster and more user-friendly than a Daytona at less than 1/2 the price and so priced right at $129,500.

Hi Mike:

 

 

Description of the Boxer: Carb 512 car, with just under 15000 Kilometers, red, black boxer trim, brown interior. Paint is a colour change from Black, beautifully done, and in excellent condition. 2 small (microscopic) paint flaws seen, one on RR wheel arch, one trailing edge of the driver’s door. Interior is excellent, with one small scuffed area on the driver’s left seat back bolster (normal), but is a bit jarring being brown, black or tan would be nicer. Front compartment excellent, engine detail excellent, books and tools complete including repro shop manual and parts manual. Glass is perfect, wheels and tires like new. A 30,000 KM service with complete belts and hoses done about 18 months and 2000 kilometers ago. Was not permitted to drive the car but can return and insist if necessary. Cheers, Bob.
