Many Dino enthusiasts consider early production European model Dinos to be most desirable as they are arguably the most beautiful, the lightest, and most mechanically simplistic; rarely fitted with the bulky air condition system, or electrically operated windows. The interiors are sparsely decorated and more closely akin to the competition cars of the era.

This early, European example has been the subject of an extensive amount of mechanical and cosmetic restoration work within the last two years.

The exterior is freshly repainted in extremely high quality silver. The car has just a few hundred miles since the repaint and has virtually no chips or wear. The body lines are crisp and sharp throughout, with very good panel match. The chrome and stainless trim is very good all around, with exceptionally nice bumpers. The Euro production cars are also equipped with more attractive side marker lights and flush to the body line front marker lights, all of which are in excellent condition on this car. The windshield and side windows have very faint surface wear, but no stars or cracks. This example sits on new period correct Michelin 70 series Radial X tires, and restored Cromodora wheels.

The interior is trimmed in high quality black leather, which is unusual as most Euro production cars were finished in vinyl. The dash has been recovered in a material as close as possible to original mouse hair fabric which looks great. The black carpets are in good condition with light wear to the driver`s foot well area. The headliner is excellent. All the factory gauges remain. The wing window latches, often missing on Dinos and Daytonas, are in place on this car.

The engine bay is beautiful, having recently had an engine out service and detail. The trunk is in very good condition with correct weave carpeting. The underside is in outstanding condition, with no evidence of rust or rust repairs, and reflects the tremendous amount of recent work performed by service expert Patrick Ottis.

The recent work included rebuilding and tuning the distributors, setting cam timing and adjusting and synchronizing the carburetors, rebuilding the window crank and door lock assemblies, replacing the heater control cables, trouble shooting various wiring harness issues to confirm brake lights, heater motors, and other items are operational, rebuilding the steering rack, new wheel nuts, new clutch assembly with cable and release bearing, new motor mounts, rebuilding the gearbox with all new synchro rings, sleeves, shift forks, new limited slip plates, and a resurfaced flywheel. Many new gaskets, water lines and hoses, and oil lines and hoses were installed while the motor was out, along with new exhaust hangers, new rear brake lines were fitted, and the car was also aligned. The total expense for the above work exceeds $30,000, all with Patrick Ottis.

The car drives extremely well. It starts easily and has good power with no smoke. The clutch operation is exceptionally light, the suspension is tight and well balanced, and the brakes are effective. It is clear from the driver`s point of view, that this is an extremely fresh example mechanically.

With this example come the tools and roll, original manual and US supplement, and a massive stack of records outlining the recent restorative work. Having shown this example with pride at the 2007 Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California, the current owners now offer s/n 02194 for immediate sale.
