Describes the luxurious 1953 Buick Estate Wagon. 1953 was Buick's 50th Anniversary so it was quite natural for Buick to celebrate its golden anniversary by introducing its first modern overhead valve V8 engine. At the same time Buick introduced a 12-volt electrical system. The production numbers for the '53 Buick Super Estate Wagon show a total of only 1830. Buick reported the 322 cubic inch engine put out 164 hp at 4000 rpm. Enough to easily and comfortably drive the car 70 mph all day long.

The current owner purchased the car in 1998 and restored it over the next 8-9 years. Prior to that he states that the car was in the same family for approximately 30 years. During the restoration the car was painted in the correct original color utilizing modern day urethane base-coat clear-coat finish. The wood is all original except for one small piece. The original seat coverings were nice enough to keep.

If you would like to own one of the best driving woodies ever produced, this is the one. She is right here in Scottsdale. $77,500.
