Known History

Original LHD 3 door Sierra RS Cosworth Boreham practice/recce car which is therefore basically in GpN spec but it does have a number of GpA parts fitted. Motorsport bodyshell with mounting brackets for front GpA anti roll bar. Inside the car has a bolt in Safety Devices roll cage including bracing to the front strut towers, Sparco bucket seats with Sabelt harnesses and original rear seat. Engine spec. is unknown but there is a rolling road printout with the car showing 256bhp. Cooling is provided by a GpA radiator mounted in correct 909 frame. Front suspension features GpA Bilstein adjustable platform struts, rose jointed TCAs/compression struts and GpA uprights/hubs with AP brakes. At the rear there is a limited-slip diff, heavy duty halfshafts, GpA adjustable platform coil over dampers, rose jointed rear arms and AP brakes with hydraulic handbrake. The car sits on a set of 8x16 Compomotive replica Speedline wheels fitted with 225/45x16 Dunlops. Standard fuel tank with Kevlar guard.

D934 UOO was first registered in January 1987 within a batch of six Boreham Sierra RS Cosworths, of the others, four being GpA and one GpN. Most famous of its sister cars being D935 UOO which was driven by Stig Blomqvist in 1987 on the 1987 1000 Lakes and RAC rallies.

After being sold by Boreham to David Sutton Motorsport Ltd. it continued to be used as a practice car and was offered for sale by them in 1991/2. From there it went to a collector in Mid Wales, who has confirmed that when he purchased 934 it had "Sig Blomqvist" painted on the doors.

In recent years the car has been in a Scottish collection before coming to Oakfields in 2010. In the past two years it has appeared at RallyDay and The Rally Show as part of the Sierra Cosworth 25th Anniverary displays and demonstration runs. The majority of the GpA and GpN Sierra Cosworths were run by satelite teams such as RED and MLP, there were no more than ten three door GpA Rally Cars run by Boreham themselves and with no other known recce/practice cars surviving today, this car has a unique place in Borehams Motorsport history.
