Tri-Five fans, don't despair, there are still some very nice, drivable Chevys out there looking for new homes. Case in point? This gorgeous 1955 210 post coupe, with an awesome bright red paint job, a warmed-over 327 under the hood, and a comfortable interior that looks period perfect. This one definitely won't last long. A lot of hobbyists think the 1955 Chevys are the best of the bunch, with the purest, least finicky design, and it's pretty hard to dispute that claim looking at this 210. The paint job is a sizzling fire engine red, perfect for getting attention with this slick cruiser. The finish was color sanded and buffed to an incredible shine that really shows well in the sun, and the solid single-color look definitely works on the simple 210 body style. All the original trim was removed, polished, and reinstalled once the paint was dry, and preserves the timeless look of this '55. The bumpers have been rechromed, the grille is in very good condition, and the taillights have cool Chevrolet bowtie emblems. Inside, the custom red upholstery looks period correct in the 210 body shell, like it might have looked a few years after landing in the hands of an early rodder. Diamond-tufted vinyl covers both the front and back seats, and the door panels use that same diamond pattern that definitely shows a customizer's touch. They retained the original dash, but filled the instrument panel with Auto Meter Ultra Light gauges in a custom billet housing, and this car is so well-built, even the clock works! A leather-wrapped steering wheel gives you something substantial to hold on to, and if the engine isn't entertaining enough, there's an AM/FM/cassette head unit in the original dash location with a CD changer in the trunk. Ice cold A/C from Vintage Air makes it truly comfortable whatever the weather, and speaking of the trunk, it has been carpeted to match and carries a full-sized spare. The engine is a sweet-running 327 with a few aftermarket speed parts and enough flash to make it worth opening the hood at the local cruise night. An Edelbrock carb and intake handle the fuel mixture, with period Erson valve covers in Chevy Orange and a giant BeCool aluminum radiator up front. Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds dump into a custom dual exhaust system with chrome turndowns in back, right under the one-piece California bumper. A TH350 3-speed automatic is the right transmission for a car like this, and it drives a GM 12-bolt, so you know you won't break it. Power disc brakes with a dual master cylinder improve safety and it rolls on a set of chrome Cragar SS mags wearing staggered 15-inch blackwall radials. Finished, fully sorted drivers don't get much more appealing that this 210. To duplicate this car, you'd be well past the asking price before you were done with the paint and chrome, never mind the engine and interior. There's no denying the appeal of the '55 shape, and when they're ready to roll like this one is, they make for a very appealing package. Call us today before this 210 slips away.
