We are pleased to offer 1974 Dino (Ferrari) 246 GTS s/n 08504, a very late June 1974 production USA model 246 GTS and the eighth from the last 246 Dino built. Only 41,495 miles since new. This 246 GTS has a well-documented history since sold new by Griswold and Company, Berkeley, CA and has been a California car since new. Nice original older Bianco Polo Park 20-W-152 white paint over good older dark tan leather with good black carpets. Good original “mouse-fur” on the dash. An extremely nice “driver” Dino with a recent engine, brake and suspension rebuild, runs and drives as new. Very nicely detailed engine compartment. Suspension, brakes and water hoses rebuilt or replaced by Gran Touring Classics Inc., Long Beach, CA in August 2005, total invoice $6,530.27 at 38,880 miles. Full engine rebuild, new clutch, water pump, alternator, A/C and carbs rebuilt, hardware plated, airbox and air cleaner powder-coated by Gran Touring Classics Inc., Long Beach, CA in April 2012, total invoice $25,000 at 39,094 miles. Heater controls, door lock assemblies, distributor overhaul, metal cooling tubes replaced, driver’s door glass replaced and fluid service by Coppa Bella Motors, Seaside, CA, October 2012, total invoice $6,995.75 at 40,889 miles. All invoices on file by PDF. Runs like a clock, pulls strong to redline with near perfect syncros that go into 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear stone-cold without a problem! From new with A/C and P/W. This dazzling 1974 Ferrari 246 Dino Spyder, beautiful white with tan interior, 5-speed, 195 BHP V6, 3 Webber carburetors, has been stored for the last 25 years with the current owner. It is one of the very last Dino’s off the production line and assembled June 1974. This car has never left California! This Dino has its engine stamp plate, door plate, general plate, glove plate, and steering wheel plate with all correct numbers in place. Options included: Air Cond, AM/FM Radio with Cassette, Power Windows, Original Tool Kit, Operating Maintenance and Service Handbook. Owner has maintenance records for 25 years. This outstanding Ferrari Dino Spyder has its original paint and equipment except radio and in excellent condition. The fairly new tires are Michelin 205/70 VR 14 XWX. The car has some slight door chips at the edges but the paint is almost perfect. The interior is spotless as photos show. The car runs and drives like a new one and turns heads everywhere it goes. This car needs nothing and is ready to show and drive.

(1 of 5), heavy duty coolant hose, bp6es spark plug, ignition condensers, distributor drive seal, 4 transaxle 75/90 gear oil, hood prop. Shouldered screw. R&r engine & transaxle, oil pan covers, drain oils and replace shift rod seals. 2005, 21 Sept., Gran Touring Classics Inc., Long Beach, CA 90806, invoice # 21559, Mileage: 39,094. Thermostat, radiator pressure cap; 14.7, 160 degrees f, radiator thermo fan switch, check engine water temperature. After 45 minutes of normal driving water temperature reaches 225 degrees f., oil temp. 210 degrees f and doesn’t want to cool. Remove thermostat housing to fit appropriate new thermostat assembly. Housing was very corroded and difficult to disassemble due to heavy corrosion. (1 of 4). Take car for another extended drive. Water temp. Never went over 185 degrees f. On the gauge. Water temp, was as low as 170 degrees f when moving or on the highway. Oil temp. would reach 210 degrees f. under constant acceleration and traffic. Oil temp. would cool a bit down to 200 degrees f. on the open highway. Replace supplied 7 psi coolant pressure cap with proper 14.7, check for popping in exhaust system under deceleration. Check carburetor float levels and adjust accordingly, raise float levels 2.0mm to help pepping during deceleration and flat spot during cornering. Fit larger 130 main jet versus stock 125. Richens mixture for better drivability and less pepping during deceleration. Total: $1,985.89.

Adjust clutch play. Total: $2,681.71.

Engine gasket and seal kit, nos engine main bearings set, nos engine connecting rod bearing set, set thrust washers std. 24 cylinder head studs, timing chain, 12 valve adjustment shims, clutch disc; customer supplied, 6 intake valves, 6 exhaust valve, 12 inner valve springs, 12 outer valve springs, 12 valve guides update, alternator belt wac, rebuilt a/c compressor, rebuilt a/c compressor clutch assembly, satin black spray paint, rebuilt alternator, rebuilt starter assembly, water pump bearing, water pump seal, 12 volt battery; exchange, clutch cable assembly, clutch pedal helper spring, repairs to crankshaft, weld up damaged journal and grind back to standard dimensions 470, find replacement connecting rod and have serviced accordingly, black powder coating of air filter canister, air box and other components. Clean and re-cadmium plate parts and hardware. Service and charge a/c system, rebuilt water pump with new bearing and seal, rebuilt carburetors. Set valve clearances and valve camshaft timing to factory. Fit new clutch disc, supplied by customer, only. Re-used original pressure plate and t/o bearing. Re-fit engine/transaxle assembly in car. A/c system not operating properly due to faulty blower. Electric blower motor seized and blower housing not screwed down to a/c housing but just loose and flopping around. Total: $25,000.00.

2012, 02 Oct., Coppa Bella Motors, 684 “B” Ponderosa St., Seaside, CA, 93955. Heater temperature control inoperative - heater valve stuck. Replaced valve with new substitute valve. Left air control inoperative. Control lever housing broken and cable seized. Replaced control housing and inner and outer cables. Passenger door lock inoperative. R&r door panel. Lube and adjust door lock and linkage. Right rear wheel well panel missing screws, threads stripped in body. R&r distributor. Check advance curve, clean and lubricate advance mechanism. Adjust points. Set timing. Replace coolant hoses from engine compartment to radiator. Fill cooling system with fresh antifreeze mixture and bleed. Replace fuel pump and rubber mounts; engine running rough at idle and part throttle at times. R&r air cleaner, removed idle jets. Found debris in #4 cylinder idle jet. Cleaned idle jets and re-installed. Engine is no longer misfiring. Parking brake sticks on. Found pivot pin for linkage, re-assembled and adjusted park brake. Change engine oil and filter, engine running poorly again. Found cyl. #6 choke piston stuck open causing rich mixture. R&r carburetor tops and all jets. Clean out jets and passages. Adjust float levels. Replace fuel filter. Synchronize carburetors and adjust idle speed and mixture. Replace driver’s window glass and window channel weather-strips. Change engine oil and filter second time using synthetic oil, left door glass. Total: 6,995.75.
