There aren't many cars that say summertime better than a 1969 Camaro convertible. This great-looking Lemans Blue drop-top has been tastefully modified to make it comfortable and fast, without losing any essential Camaro DNA that makes these cars some of the hottest collectibles, year in and year out. This one features a warmed-over small block, sizzling paint, a comfortable interior with a powerful stereo system, A/C, and aftermarket cruise control for those longer drives. Your warm weather toy has just arrived. This is indeed an original code 71 Lemans Blue convertible. Done correctly, the body lines up well, gaps are good, and a cowl-induction hood was added during the restoration. A ducktail spoiler has been installed on the deck lid along with a set of correct hockey stick stripes. And while there's no way to prove whether this is a real SS, the owner chose not to upgrade it to an RS during the restoration, and didn't add the hidden headlights, badges, or grille to create a fake RS. The badges that this car does carry are good reproduction items, including the 350 badges on the front fenders and the Camaro script front and rear. Chrome is nice throughout, including the nicely finished front and rear bumpers, as well as the polished trim around the windshield and in the rear quarter panel "gills." There's no question this is a handsome car. Inside, you'll discover a tastefully modified Camaro interior, featuring bucket seats that have been reskinned and a matching rear bunch. The center console houses what might be the coolest automatic shifter ever created, and the dash is full of stock gauges, plus a big SunPro tachometer front and center, and a thick leather-wrapped steering wheel. A/C and cruise control were added during the makeover and entertainment (aside from the potent 350 under the hood) is provided by a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo system. Overhead, a recent bright white convertible top with a crystal clear plastic rear window folds neatly into the well, and the trunk offers a correct mat and tire cover over the full-sized spare, along with a complete jack assembly. Power comes from a reliable and powerful 350 cubic inch crate motor. The engine bay is a nice mixture of custom and OEM parts, ranging from the chrome air cleaner with reproduction decals, to the late-model finned valve covers that give it a very OEM look. The A/C system is all-new and offers R134 refrigerant, and an Edelbrock carburetor mixes the fuel. Underneath, as I mentioned, you'll find a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission from TCI, a Flowmaster exhaust system, and a stock suspension. Floors are solid and prove that this has always been a clean southern car without any significant sheetmetal work. The finishing touch is a set of 14-inch polished Rallys wearing 215/70/14 Firestone radials. Combining the stunning good looks of a 1969 Camaro convertible, a fresh small block, and modern conveniences like A/C, power steering, and a powerful stereo, this is a no-compromises ragtop that is built to cruise. And it's plenty quick, too! With a combination like that, we don't expect this one to stick around for long, so give us a call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom.
