Known History

Chassis 14019 is an extremely well known normal USA production, Daytona Coupe thanks to famed Ferrari Historian, Stan Nowak who recorded delivery details upon her arrival in the States in early 1971. Additional details were kindly provided by Chad Ensz from Gerald Roush's extensive archives at the Ferrari Market Letter.

This Daytona was built as "Assembly Sequence Number" 372 and fitted with "Scaglietti Body Number" 384. The order came from Luigi Chinetti Motors which requested a normal USA model finished in Rosso Corsa "Red" with Black and Red interior. The only option was air conditioning as all other features were standard.

It was completed in January 1971 with engine number "B794" and remains fitted with this engine today. Chinetti sold the car new to a Mr. McGreene. The car arrived the first week of February 1971 by ocean vessel in Newark, New Jersey. Nowak completed and inspection several days after arrival however it appears that delivery to McGreene may not have taken place as Chinetti repurchased this Daytona on March 5th, 1971 for the heavily discounted price of only $12,820. In addition to recoding the engine number and delivery mileage, Nowak noted that the car was fitted after delivery with Borrani wire wheels. (These remain fitted to this day.) The car was then purchased by a New York resident and remained with the same family until 1994 when it was sold to Japan. In 1996 it was on display a the TI Circuit in Aida, Japan where it was part of a display by Takao Sagagawa Museum Collection. In 2000 it was offered for sale by Mitsuru Takahashi's NEXT ONE Trading Company in Tokyo, Japan. It remained still in red with the black interior and fitted with optional Borrani wire wheels.

This Ferrari remained in Japan until being purchased by Symbolic Motor Car Company earlier this month. The following services completed:
