Sold new in Germany, this Porsche 356 on offer here was exported to California before returning to Europe. This is a 356 "pre -A" with the 1500 engine, and certified by Porsche with its original engine number. The car received a restoration that was completed in spring 2011, just in time to participate at the Mille Miglia retrospective where the car was number 208. Sold in February 2012, it passed into the hands of an even more meticulous owner than the previous enthusiast, who performed various complementary works for the Porsche 356 that was more appropriate and in compliance with the specifications of Porsches from the period. Here's the list: new carpet, black paint under the fuel tank as specified by Porsche, black and blue paint for the hinges of front cover (specifications Porsche), purchase and installation of original Porsche badges on the front and the rear, complete reconstruction of the brake system, repair of the ignition system, with two Porsche original keys, repairing the barrels and the doors and providing for two new antennas (old stock), rear reflectors original glass (more than 1 400 € for the two), headlamp lenses replaced with new 'old stock' parts, repair of an engine oil leak, putting in a new steering rack as per the year of the car, installation of a new oil cooler corresponding to the car, installation of proper exhausts from the 1954 Porsche Speedster at Rudi Brack, in Zurich.

For the safety of the mechanicals, this car is equipped with a dipstick with pressure alarm, and features 16-inch wheels, which are extremely rare... and expensive! The car is in a beautiful blue iridescent colour, which is original and V windshield is characteristic of these early versions, reminiscent of the first windshield in two parts. The impeccable interior features blue leather seats, as originally, and the dashboard is equipped with a radio from that time.

The car comes with many bills, a photo album made after the Mille Miglia, a FIVA passport identification and a user manual (in English). A particularly rare version of the 356, this is an easy car to drive, a relatively simple car to maintain that is eligible for the most prestigious of international events.
