Known History

330 America #5103GT was imported new into the USA through Luigi Chinetti Motors of Greenwich, CT in 1964.

The car went through a chain of owners in the U.S. before ending up with dealer Paul Forbes in Greater Los Angeles in about 1994. At that time the car was in need of a total restoration. The project was then sold to a German enthusiast from Berlin who had the car shipped to Switzerland where #5103GT underwent a ground-up and frame-off restoration at the renowned Sportgarage of Bruno Wyss in Zofingen.

A fortune was spent on the restoration of the rare 2+2-Ferrari that was repainted in very dark blue with matching dark blue leather interior (the latter work being done by the famous Luppi brothers of Modena, invoice on file).

The German owner intended to use the car very frequently, hence he decided to have a modern aircondition and a high-class Sony CD-system fitted.

The fully restored 330 America was then used by the German owner at his second home in Idaho. In the early 2000s #5103GT returned to Germany and was sold in 2003 to the current owner.

The current owner removed parts from the modern aircondition since it turned out that the car's engine didn't get enough cooling air due to the additionally fitted separate radiator of the aircondition.

#5103GT is for sure one of the best 330 Americas in the world since there are not too many examples around which have seen investments that actually exceeded the car's value...

The car can be seen upon appointment in the Frankfurt area in Germany. It comes with many invoices from the time of the restoration and a painstakingly handwritten restoration report by Bruno Wyss (in German language).
