History:
This XK120 OTS was manufactured on July 13th, 1954 as a Special Equipment model, featuring high performance SU H8 double carburetors, cream exterior, red leather interior and black softop & side windows. After 43 years in the drier states of the US, it was sold to a collector in the UK who registered it as ‘FSJ 352’. Soon thereafter he assigned the car’s restoration to Phoenix Restorations of Hampshire, UK. This entailed spraying the body in white, installing new seats, trimming the interior in black leather and matching carpets, installing a new softop & side windows in blue and fitting a new set of wire wheels (4+spare). The car’s odometer was reset and all subsequent mileage was recorded. Between Dec 2003 and 2008, the engine was replaced with a rebuilt 1952 XK120 ‘W’ engine, black blocked with a later C-type head and SU H8 carburetors. In 2008 the car was sold through an auction in the UK to its present owner in Greece who felt it should be exhibited instead of driven.
