Known History

1967 Ferrari 330 GTC

Power Windows

Wire Wheels

Air Conditioning

This particular 330 GTC was a standard "European" production model ordered new in Italy by Authorized Ferrari Official Agent Crepaldi in Milan in 1967. The order requested that this Ferrari be finished with a black exterior and red leather interior. Options requested were; Power Windows and Air Conditioning.

This Ferrari was assigned Chassis/Engine No. 9863 and was completed on Assembly Sequence No. 217 with Pininfarina Body No. C0245. The engine internal number according to Ferrari records was 2698 and the transaxle internal number was 270-1 with the standard final drive ratio of "9 x 31" or 3.44:1. (A recent inspection of both the engine and transaxle confirmed that they each have their correct original matching stampings and are the "born with units fitted to this Ferrari when constructed new.) Little is know about this Ferrari's original owner only that Crepaldi fitted IRVIN "Parachute" Seat Belts to the car and they remain with the vehicle to this day. The original Italian owner is unknown but in 1974, Gerald Roush and Stan Nowak both documented the car's ownership with Joseph Zoldt, Jr. in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was a regular client of FAF in Tucker, Georgia and may have acquired this Ferrari from them. In August of 1974, Zoldt ordered an engine rebuild kit from FAF.

In 1980, Zoldt offered the car for sale via Z & M Machine Tools and described the car now as being Silver with Red interior, Air and Alloy wheels, European Version with 34,000 miles.

Nine years later in 1989, this Ferrari was offered for sale by Donald Law of Dover, Massachusetts. The car was back to being black and still had a red interior and now had five Borrani Wire Wheels and he listed the car as having 50,000 miles. The car was next seen being offered for sale at the Auto Toy Story, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They listed the car as being Black with Red Leather Interior, Alpine Radio with Cassette and 86,257 miles but it was observed as showing 86,257 kilometers at this same time. The Auto Toy Store offered the same Ferrari again in 1993, listing it as having 50,000 miles which is reflective of the vehicle's actual 86,000 original kilometers as shown on the odometer again at this time. They offered the car a final time in 1995. It was then sold to Terry Price / Legendary Motorcars in Campbell, California. In December of 1996, Price contacted Gerald Roush by phone to learn more of the car's history. Price confirmed the car's details including that the odometer showed 86,000 kilometers at that time.

Price offered the car for sale in 1997 describing it as being black with red interior and having 86,000 original kilometers, air and Borrani wire wheels. Later in 1997, the car was being offered for sale by Heritage Classics in West Hollywood, California with the same description except the car now had a fully rebuilt engine. The car caught the attention at this time by Ferrari Collector, Peter Davis of Kansas City, Missouri. Davis contacted Gerald Roush to learn what he had in his files on this Ferrari. He was concerned because the car's AC System was missing the compressor. Davis contacted Don Law who had the AC compressor removed and stored but by then, the shop were it was kept was out of business.

The car was then purchased by the famous Japanese Porsche/VW import/export businessman, Takashi Komori owner of "Flat Four." Kamori founded his Tokyo shop in 1976 and it remains in business to this day nearly 40 years later. in the late 1980s, rather than traveling back and forth to Southern California, Kamori opened up a small shop in Los Angeles and became as well know resident frequenting the Porsche and VW swap meets and gatherings the area remains famous for.

After purchasing this Ferrari Kamori San registered and kept it in Los Angeles until closing his LA based store in 2001 and moving his business solely back to Japan where it remains very active to this day. (http://www.flat4.co.jp)

Kamori enjoyed this Ferrari 330 GTC enthusiastically and took it to many events. He had more modern seat belts fitted during his ownership and repaired the air conditioning system. He was careful to store and preserve the very rare and original IRVIN seat belts and they remain with the vehicle to this day.

In March of 2012, this Ferrari was present at Ferrari Racing Days & Hublot Concours d'Elegance held at the Suzuka Circuit, Japan. The Ferrari remained thereafter with Takashi Komori until our recent purchase earlier this month.

This is a completely rust and accident free, "matching numbers" mid-production, European version of what is arguably Ferrari's greatest front-engined, 1960s era grand touring CoupÚ. It has covered just over 95,000 kilometers from new with fully documented history going back to new and it remains extremely original and un-restored to to this day.

A thorough and comprehensive inspection has just been completed. Engine compression was perfect with all cylinders showing cold compression numbers of 150 to 155lbs! All services and safety checks are now being completed and this Ferrari will be delivered ready for any manner of enthusiastic use for her next fortunate owner.
