Known History

The 793 was the response of the March introduction of the ground effect, it was basically a 783 with bellies and miniskirts. Due to the lack of resources it was not a ground of the best effect with the suspensions that interfere with the flow of air and no serious work was being done on the design of the Venturi. However Chevron suffered the loss of Derek Bennett and Ralt were struggling to develop its RT3 with ground effect. So March by an aggressive marketing campaign to attract riders dominated the British F3 season with Serra, De Cesaris and Thackwell respectively 1st 2nd 3rd.

This car debuted in Formula 3 in 1979 Italian Championship.

Among the drivers who have competed since 1980 with this car include Riccardo Paletti, Almo Coppelli, Armando Conti and Ivone Pinton.

The car ran until 1986 when it was purchased by the current owner who has never raced there.
