This Kurtis Midget Seial # F282/48 V8 60 full race flat head Ford motor is the only one road raced in America.
It was ordered and campaigned by Larry Dunham from 1948 to 1989.
It raced both oval track and road races. in Ca at Willow Springs in 1955 it placed 1st in Class D SCCA and raced at Riverside and Paramount Ranch.
Some of the USAC #’s were 55, 47, 48 and 60. It also raced in Indiana and St Louis.
In the early 90’s Roger Simonatti purchased the Kurtis and completed a ground up restoration.
In 1994 Randy Francis, a Ford dealer in WA bought the Kurtis and displayed it in his showroom.
The current owner bought the Kurtis in 2003 and has been road acing it at Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway and Thunderhill with HMSA and CSRG and General Racing.
In 2010 it won the Rolex Award at The Monterey Historics racing against Bugattis, Maseratis and ERA’s etc.
Last raced 2014 at the Monterey Pre Reunion.
The car is fitted with an onboard starter, clutch and transmission.
