Known History

One of 253 chassis numbers Porsche pulled from the end of 66 production with the wooden dash and steering wheel configuration. It seems based on others researching the notations on the top of the Kardex (see picture) in order to offer a 3rd line of inventory for sale in 1967 along with the New 67 and 67 S models that Porsche design changes have been suggested to have been, in order to lower the cost of the model now being produced. These 253 sequential serial numbered cars would be offered as Deluxe RS models subject to the technical bulletin notation listed on the top of the Kardex after the 67 Deluxe RS writing EX 13/66 . Further notations on the Kardex Show Hahn, Stuttgart as the Handler and Hahn having the car serviced at the Factory on 11-22 of 66 with 15640 kilometers marked as the mileage. It has been suggested that the car was a Demonstrator from the factory that Hahn used for prospective Porsche customers. A European configuration car that ran on the streets of Stuttgart entertaining Porsche customers of the day in 1966. Equipped with the sunroof and Webasto heater the car would sell itself if you were a Porsche enthusiast. Factory technical bulletin car designed to be sold as 1967 models from 1966 Chassis numbers with this one being put in to service on 7-19 of 66? This chassis 304769 with original motor number 907962 and a great documented Kardex history is a fabulous example of a rare collectible Porsche. A wonderful opportunity to own a stand out unique example. Beautiful original interior remains with very low kilometers showing on the odometer explains the delightful interior.
