| In 1961 Jaguar stunned the world with the launch of its new E-Type model. Motor magazine recorded a 150 mph maximum speed. This at a time when the average car would be flat out at 80 to 90 mph. Jaguar had recorded many wins at Le Mans with its C and D Type models these like the E-Type were designed by Jaguars aerodynamicist Mr Malcolm Sayer. The E-Type shared its XK twin cam straight six engine with these legendary racers. It also had four wheel disc brakes, all round independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. Clothed in possibly the most beautiful aerodynamic body of any car ever made. No wonder it was the car to have and be seen in. The example we have here is in exceptional condition. Being restored some years ago by a Jaguar specialist here in Sydney. Finished in Red with Black leather and chrome wire wheels its will raise the emotions of all but the most cold blooded.
