--British Racing Green with Red nose band, 4-speed, Prepared for road racing 2000-2001, Refreshed 2008, FIA papers.

This DB4/198/R was purchased in the late 1980’s in the UK, prepped for Rally use and used on the 1990, 1991 and 1992 Monte Carlo Rally by Chris Thompson and Chris Pringle culminating in an overall win in the year 1992. This DB4 has been featured in several magazine articles and thus well known in the AMOC.

Purchase in the 2000 by well-known vintage racer Bob Machinist, it was entrusted to Andy Briggs, Vintage & Historic Racing Fabrications, UK for a complete rebuild to full race/fast road specifications, suitable for track and/or Tour Auto type events, all work being overseen by Kent Bain of Vintage Racing Services, Inc. The engine and gearbox was built by David Jack of Aston Engineering. A huge amount of money was spent to bring this DB4 to its exceptional specifications. The DB4 was then transported to the USA where it has enjoyed several years of racing in SVRA and HSR sanctioned events. While in the USA, it has been maintained by Kent Bain’s Vintage Racing Services and always kept in the best condition and race ready regardless of cost-expense. In 2007, this DB4 received a complete freshening to bring it its current superb and ready to use condition, the engine and gearbox was rebuilt by Jon Clerk of Steel Wings, dynoed (spec sheets available) and to date has only been run in two AMOC track day events and thus has very little time on its recent rebuild.

Recently this DB4 was purchased by Autosport Designs, Inc. and sold to one of our clients who recently relocated to the Middle East for work and thus it is available for sale once again.

Absolutely superb throughout with excellent history, this DB4 is ready for immediate use.
