The most expensive models available, Ford produced just 28 examples of the Sportsman for 1948. Finished in Maize Yellow and accented by red leather upholstery, this Sportsman is an attractive, low-mileage car that was formerly part of a noted private collection on the West Coast. It was completely and authentically restored a number of years ago, and according to the prior owner, all woodwork is original to the car.
Both the interior and the engine bay are period correct and very attractive, and the Sportsman rides on a correct set of whitewall tires, along with body color steel wheels with bright hubcaps, trim rings, and red pin striping. Accessories include a push-button radio, a dash-mounted clock, and dual vanity mirrors.
